Black-and-white photographic frontispiece, showing a photograph of the Australian War Memorial. The text is illustrated with black-and-white photographs taken from within the War Memorial. At the rear of the book is a foldout map showing the various room placement. Blue coloured boards with gilt coloured titles and decoration embossed to the front panel. The first edition of the guide to the Australian War Memorial.  Softening of the back strip edges and there is a 1 1/2 split to the lower rear spine gutter and 1/2 inch split to the top right-hand corner of the front spine gutter. Heavy sunning to the back strip and this has occurred to either side of the back strip and to the top edge of the panels with the sunning fading gradually – please see photograph.
