Originally copyrighted as a play entitled "I Shall not Want" in 1940. First performed at the Plymouth Theatre in New York and produced by Stephen and Paul Ames, directed by Reginald Denham and with settings by Raymond Sovey. The program from this performance is reproduced on preliminary page [7]. Illustrated with three full page black and white photographs one of which is the frontis piece. Previous owner's book plate on the front paste down end paper, pencil marginalia present in the from of small check marks and some random notes regards costuming. The book shows mild wear and soiling while the binding is solid and sound. .
