Black and white photographic frontispiece, showing a portion of Government House. Throughout the book there are copious black and white photographs taken from the authors' and her mothers albums. Pale grey boards with white writing on spine. Photographic dustwrapper, showing photograph of Government House in Sydney, with a photograph of author superimposed. Black writing on front panel white writing on spine. Between 1930-1935 the author's father was Governor of New South Wales, when he took this position up, Rosemary Hamar was 11 years old. These are her reminiscences of the period (also culled from her parents diaries) of official ceremonies, famous visitors, the Great Depression and the sacking of Jack Lang as the premier of New South Wales plus other events that happened in time.
