About This Item
Detroit, MI, 1943. Usual folds and creases, but not tears or wear. Very Good. Four double-sided pages; three on "Keep 'em Running" letterhead featuring a U.S. Army Jeep chasing Hitler, Mussolini and Hirohito "Right off the map"; one on "Bring Home The Bacon" letterhead featuring an U.S. tank with Hitler, Mussolini and Hirohito tied together at the back. Written during WWII, from a "loving" wife to her husband. Content is mostly domestic related, and mentions Fischer Body, and a job at the Free Press Bldg [Detroit, MI]; it's unclear if the husband is in the military or overseas. Letters date: 7/28/43; 7/30/43; and 8/6/43, and signed Gertie.
