Condition is GOOD+ ; leather is dry and has surface crackles. Spines are much better and all labels are good. Front joint of Vol III is started. Bindings solid and text very clean, bright and unmarked. Drama. RGR.

With two frontispiece portraits Volume I, the Duke of Sully and Henry the IV. Fold out map Vol. I Near Fine, old dampstains at corners. The books Very Good, the boards well rubbed and showing their age yet solidly bound and sturdy. Old dampstaining all volumes, mostly to edges and margins, gilt at spines dulled, free of foxing and toning, a set that shows its history while maintaining its dignity. . New Edition. Calf. Very Good -/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
