Rider & Company, 1932. First Edition. Hardcover. Acceptable. Rating acceptable due to foxing. This is Part One only. Bright blue cloth boards. Front cover is embossed with gilt lettering and designs. Gilt is still bright. Corners of boards are bumped and dented and cloth is somewhat worn, but not to boards themselves. Bumping along top and bottom of boards. Head and heel of spine spine is bumped and crumpled. The book has been covered in clear plastic sheeting which has kept the blue boards from fading. Rubbing along edges of spine. Pages are yellowed with foxing, and foxing along text block. FFE page has previous owners name in pen, and erasure of a rather large previously penciled in price near top of endsheet. Front paste down has small sticker of previous bookseller shop (Shambala Books in Berkeley, CA, now out of business). Title page has "With the Publishers Compliments" stamp. An interesting early book on the Great Pyramid, and pyramid building in general. This book covers the theory of how they were built and to a lesser extent why.
Well worth a look for the pyramid book enthusiast, quite rare these days I have never seen another copy.
