Quarter dark red cloth with matching paper-covered boards, [xi], 305 pp. This copy has two faint stains with a few darker spots on front board, one about 4 X 10 cm along bottom edge, and one circular stain about 3 cm near fore-edge halfway up, also a small spot on verso of rfep, else near fine with one lightly bumped corner. DJ has a stain on reverse matching the larger stain on the book and faintly visible on the printed side, else near fine with some creasing along bottom edge, but no tears; in Brodart archival cover. An undated form letter about the book from a Bantam Books marketing manager is laid in. This is the author's first novel, and the first Lynley & Havers mystery. Shipping weight 2 lbs.. 2nd ptg. . 23½ X 16½ cm.
