Profusely illustrated from Falls' illustrations. Illustrated orange wrappers. 7" x 10". One of a limited edition of 750 un-numbered copies. A illustrated introduction to the work of artist C. B. Falls (1874 - 1960), whose collected works reside at Williams College. Falls illustrated books, magazines and other media, but is perhaps now best known for his World War I posters, undertaken while a member a group of volunteer artists who made up the Division of Pictorial Publicity led by Charles Dana Gibson. He created the famous "Books Wanted" poster, showing a U. S. Marine holding a towering pile of books. An As New copy, now in a 4-mil clear mylar protective envelope.
