Ethnography of a tribe in Manchuria by the Mongol specialist Lattimore, including a glossary of terms. Lattimore, an American raised in China, was later to become an advisor to Chiang Kai-shek, and in the 1950s was accused by McCarthy of being a "top Soviet agent.
