About This Item
New York: Farrar Straus Giroux, 1982. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good+. 223 pages ; 22 cm. Hardcover. Publisher's original black quarter cloth over dusty lime colored boards, gilt lettering to spine. Book Condition: Top edge a little dusty else fine and apparently unread. Dust Jacket Condition: Bright and lemony without flaw except for trio of small spots to the spine. Though many readers go through much of their adult life under the impression that "The Natural" was Malamud's first and last book, in fact he enjoyed a rather long career during which he published three books of short stories (winning the National Book Award for one of them) and seven more novels(!) (winning the National Book Award and a Pulitzer Prize for one of those). God's Grace is Malamuds final novel, the story of Calvin Cohn, the last man on earth. A sharp copy.
