Paris: Arthus Bertrand, Editeur, Librairie Maritime et Scientifique, 1866., 1866.. Good. - Octavo, red cloth titled and decorated in silver on the front cover & the spine. All edges are gilt. The corners are bumped and there is a crease to the front edge of the rear board. The spine is darkened with light wear at the head and a 1 inch long split to the cloth at the top of the rear joint. 559 pages. Two previous early owner's names are penned on the recto and verso of the front endpaper. There is some occasional scattered foxing and also some slight specks present at the edges of the last few leaves. Good. <p>First edition of this SCARCE French Naval Biography.
