(Graham) Cochran, President – Australian Trotting Council, Role of Honour. Photographic end pages, showing a mature horse in harness, and a foal beside its dam. The text is illustrated with black-and-white photographs and the occasional colour photograph. Dull red coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Photographic dustwrapper with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip black-and-white photograph of author to the rear fold over panel. In 1910 there was a foal born that was destined to become Globe Derby. He became the most influential Australasian sire in standard bred horses. "This volume traces his life from the uncertain beginning to a monumental legacy. Sire lines, female families, Inter-Dominion champions and 2:00 speedsters add lustre to the star studded Globe Derby tribe." – from the front fold over panel blurb.
