New York: Revillon Freres, 1930., 1930.. Good. - Octavo, light gray boards backed with gray cloth. The binding is lightly bumped, soiled & foxed with the paper worn at the corners. The spine is darkened & there are a few tiny ink marks to the bottom edge of the rear cover. 142 pages plus colophon. Full-page black-and-white illustrations. The bottom corners of the front endpaper & half-title are creased. The gutters are slightly darkened. Good. <p>First edition.<p>Captain Mallet, President of Revillon Freres, writes in his introductory note that he spends part of each year inspecting the company's fur-trading posts. He writes in this book about his experiences in the Far North and the people he has met.
