Gilian the Dreamer: His Fancy, His Love and Adventure

by MUNRO, Neil

Condition: Very Good

Edinburgh: William Blackwood and Sons, 1905. Very Good. First edition. Original blind-stamped red cloth with gilt-stamped spine title. Spine faded with head chipped, corners bumped, a very good copy. Silver gelatin photographs tipped in on blank preliminary with one being the image of Inveraray Castle, the home of the Duke of Argyll and seat of the Campbell Clan, the other being an image of the Inveraray Celtic cross monument. Neil Munro was born in Inveraray in 1863 to a maid and rumored to be an illegitimate son of one of the members of Ducal House of Argyll. Scarce.
