First edition with the publication year in Roman numerals on the title page, in numerics on the copyright page, and with the Harper's "C-B" denoting March 1927 and First Edition stated. Green/gold cloth with embossed design and title/ author to the spine with Harpers in faded black. 465 pp. plus three pp of ads at back. This copy is VG. Exterior has modest/moderate toning, but little edge, tip, or spine end wear. Inside has neat PO signature on FEP. Blue design pictorial EPs. Otherwise unmarked and firmly bound. Top page edges dyed a faded red/brown. Text is modestly/evenly toned..
