Straight, tight and clean with no markings, light corner and spine-end bumps. Dustjacket has edge nicks, particularly to rear panel, short closed edge tears, in new Brodart sleeve. The story of the first mass national democratic movement in Soviet Armenia and its rise in 1988 from the first large-scale demonstrations in February through the Kremlin's rebukes during the summer and finally the tragedy of the earthquakes in the country's north in December. Illustrated with 9 pages of black-&-white photographs and a map. Appended: Notes, Works Cited, and Index.
