New York: Viking, 1933 (1933). Illustrated boards with cloth spine, light shelfwear else fine, in a matching dust jacket with chipping at top of spine, spine a bid sunned. An altogether marvelous book by the Petershams. The story is imaginative, about a pair of broken toys who travel together to a land where old toys become new again! The text from the dust jacket notes that the Petershams collected toys on their travels (and they loved to travel!). This is evident in their playful and joyous renderings of the one armed Hungarian soldier doll, Hary Janos and the American stuffed horse, Get-A-Way. One of the most sought after and scarcest of the Petershams' books.. First Edition. Illustrated Boards. Near Fine/Very Good. Illus. by Maud and Miska Petersham. 4to.
