Original brown morocco grain bevel edge cloth stamped in gilt with dark blue panels. pp (viii), 760 + 6 plates; (viii), 760, 130 + 6 plates..Vol I: much of blue panel at head of spine chipped away, blue panel at foot perished, wear to outer corners, cracked inner hinges neatly repaired, VG otherwise, internally near fine. Vol. II: blue panel at head of spine rubbed, blue panel at foot of spine perished,; wear to outer corners; cracked inner hinges neatly repaired; VG otherwise. Vol I has an article on Keats by Grant Allen, the first 18 chapters of UNDER WHICH LORD?, a novel by E. Lynn Linton, and an "In Memoriam" for George Whyte-Melville by Ouida,. Vol II has an article by Grant Allen and one by Swinburne, and the remaining chapters (19-36 of UNDER WHICH LORD? At end, numbered pp 1-130, is The Gentleman's Annual, Christmas 1879, which contains two stories. 2.75 kg parcel; Octavo. .
