The third, and best, edition - with an additional 40 plates - of the highly influential furniture-pattern book by the London cabinetmaker, Thomas Chippendale, who was, in fact, the first English cabinetmaker to ever publish his designs. Plates 146-149 are mis-numbered 146, 146, 147, 149: this mis-numbering has been observed in three separate copies of the 1762 edition, though it is not listed in the bibliographies.
