London: Collins, 1972. Gehlen can claim total authenticity. Durring the war he was in charge of all intelligence operations in Russia and the Balkans. In 1944 he secreted his archives, went into hiding, and at the appropriate moment, delivered himself and his service as a going concern to the Americans. From this sprang the Gehlen Organisation, feared by the communists, which was integrated into the German Federal Government in 1956. He was again head of the German secret service. 381 pages with black and white plates.. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. 215x145mm.
