His color illustrations for Poe's tales and other works are highly prized, but his other graphic work is less known. This comprehensive monograph presents some of his early sketches, private drawings, and commercial work -- with as well as the man behind the drawings and designs. Although not noted, there were only 2,500 copies printed -- half for distribution in the UK and half for the U.S. audience. .
