That they could have conceived of the Game for their own private pleasure and amusement was horrifying enough; but that they actually recreated the brutal and ancient art of gladiatorial combat, and then actually follwed through to the Game, was too nightmarish to absorb..... It was a diabolical hunting party.....with human beings as the quarry.
