The G.A. Henty Omnibus Book On the Irrawaddy By Sheer Pluck Captain Bayley's Heir by Henty, G. A - 1933

London: Blackie & Son Limited. Blue Cloth. 384pp. No date. 1933. First omnibus edition. 8vo. A good minus hardback copy in a scarce good plus jacket. Original publisher's blue cloth boards - embossed in black to the spine and to the front board. A prize giving bookplate - dated 1935 pasted to the front endpaper. Some tiny blue ink speck marks to the leading fore-edge. The head of the rear board bumped with short associated split - about 5mm in length to the cloth and to the rear paste-down. Significant mottling to the rear board with some mottling to the leading edge of the front board and to the spine. The jacket has not been price-clipped. It is dust soiled. It is toned to the spine with small rectangular 'sticker' (?) mark towards the tail of the spine. There is a chip to the tail of the front flap - approximately 2cm x 2cm. There are several short open tears and open nicks - the largest being about 3cm in length. There is also slight chipping to the head of the spine of the jacket. Scarce with jacket. . Good. 1933.
