Previous owner's name written in black ink (quite smudged) on the upper part of the page at the start of Part I: The Chateau. Decoative cloth boards in dust-jacket which is lightly edge-worn and a little faded at the spine. An attractive copy. A novel of the Great War in which a mystery which reaches its climax just before the Armistice.
