Los Angeles: American International Pictures [AIP], 1974. First Draft script for the 1976 film. SIGNED by screenwriter Simon on the title page. Science fiction thriller produced as a sequel to Michael Crichton's "Westworld" (1973). Chuck Browning (Fonda) and Tracy Ballard (Danner) are newspaper reporters who are investigating the Westworld theme park in the wake of it's recent tragedy. Browning is set to meet an informant, but the informant is killed as he hands Browning a top secret envelope. While at Futureworld, a division of the theme park complete with robots programmed for sex, the owners abduct the reporters and make clones of them, insuring that the clones leave the park and not the real Browning and Ballard. The first major film to use 3D computer-generated imagery (CGI). Danner won a Golden Scroll from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA. Shot on location in Houston, Texas. Periwinkle blue wrappers with die-cut title windwo. Title page present, dated July 5, 1974, noted as First Draft, with credit for screenwriter Simon. 130 leaves, with last page of text numbered 128. Photographically reproduced. Pages and wrapper Near Fine, bound with two gold brads.
