Denver, Co.; (1983): The Museum of Western Art. First Edition. Quarto. First printing limited to only 500 copies signed and numbered by Foxley. Frontier Spirit, was finished in four different versions, the present copy is one of the finest of all the editions elegantly bound by Harcourt Bindery of Boston in full Harmatan Nigerian Goatskin, raised bands, spine lettering gilt, small color plate mounted to front cover titled "Downing the Nigh Leader" by Frederic Remington, red endpapers, 264p., fully illustrated with 129 full color plates including 6 tipped in. William Foxley is one of five known collector's of major Western Art. For the past 35 years, Bill Foxley, a cattleman, industry innovator and art collector has been acquiring American Western art that spans a period of over 125 years.
