W.H. Allen, London, 1962. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Fair/Poor. 368pp., last 2 blank. Red coloured boards with gilt writing on spine. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and to the book corners. Shelf wear to the top and bottom edges. Browning and foxing to the paper edges. Browning and handling marks to the endpapers along with faint offset tanning. Internally in the pages are somewhat brown and foxed. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing abstract faces against a white background, with red and black writing on the front panel and spine. Corners of the dustwrapper are rubbed and chipped and there is chipping to the top and bottom dustwrapper edges. The entire dustwrapper has been pocked marked with brown stains. The spine it has been particularly affected with the staining and also somewhat darkened due to sun damage. The story of the author and of to friends, who went through therapy and psychoanalysis to help with their problems in the late 1950s -- early 1960s. This is the first UK edition.
