Philadelphia: Josiah Tatum, 1853. Ephemera. Fair with No dust jacket as issued. Single issue unbound publication. Pages tanned and foxed with small amount of writing at bottom edge of first page. Holes in left margin, heavy wear to corners including creasing and some chipping; some edge wear. ; Weekly Quaker publication begun in 1847. Later merged with Christian Worker to form American Friend. Contents: biography and correspondence written by Daniel Wheeler (1771-1840), a Quaker missionary describing experiences in Tahiti and his arrival in the Hawaiian Islands. Account of Thomas Sanders Capper of Bristol, England who died in 1852 at the age of 27. Reports of the New England and New York Yearly Meetings. Numerous reprints of news from various sources. ; 10" tall ; 16 pages.
