Straight and firmly bound with no markings, small faint stain to bottom edge of text-block, light spine-end and corner wear. Dustjacket unclipped bearing original price, edge nicks, spine darkened, small faint stain to front panel, sticker ghost to front flap, in new Brodart sleeve. The author examines in detail three pivotal events in Scottish history: the battles of Bannockburn (1314) and Flodden (1513), and the Union with England in 1707. Illustrated with 8 pages of annotated battlefield maps from topographical photographs on black-&-white plates.
