The DJ with a small area of staining to the spine; spine lightly faded as well; minor edgewear, including a few shallow snags. This book includes a Christmas card from the founder of New Directions, James Laughlin, handwritten on ND stationary, 'Merry Christmas P + E, Jim'.

The very first book appearance of John Berryman (and quite rare signed by him), as well as poet/ novelist/essayist Randall Jarrell and poet/translator of Sappho Mary Barnard.
