Inscribed and signed by Hoole on the frontispage: "For Frank and Edna Bradlow with thanks and good wishes ... Wm Stanley Hoole Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 3/24/'64". An ex-libris plate on the front pastedown indicates previous ownership of this copy by the same Frank and Edna Bradlow, who were esteemed and much sought after Africana specialists and collectors. The dustjacket has a clear plastic protective cover. The dj is benign. It has some shelving wear about the edges, some light shelving rubbing. The boards are serene and healthy.
