The secrets of witchcraft, magic, alchemy, necromancy, astrology, the occult arts, and modern spiritualism laid bare, dreams and their interpretations, oracular counsels, lucky numbers, and all species of devination as applied to successful fortune-telling." Previous owner's name to several places in books, page 5 with half erased note from previous owner in pencil about the theft of $1000s in book per month by second hand book dealer's dated 1899. Black or very dark blue cloth boards with blind stamping. h No Dust Jacket (as issued). Boards with wear, bumped at corners and spine ends with fraying. Dented at fore edge back and front. Dust soil/ toning to page edges. Pages with heavy toning but unmarked. Several pages have pieces missing at sides but does not interfere with text. Pages very brittle with age. Binding cracked with no separations. Hinges intact.
