The text is illustrated with a black-and-white section of 18 photographs. Red flecked boards with silver writing on the spine. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and there is some shelfwear and to the lower book edges. Browning and foxing to the paper edges. Foxing to the end papers and original bookseller's sticker to the lower right hand corner of the front paste down. Foxing to the internal pages and there are there is a brown stripe that runs the full length of the book on the rear of free endpaper verso of that pages and the last page of index. Plain text dustwrapper, with white background and grey footsteps running up the front panel with black, maroon and green writing on the front panel and spine. The dustwrapper is rubbed, faded and the white background is dull. Rubbing to the top dustwrapper edge and there is discolouration of that edge as well. Price clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right hand corner and there is also a crease running the full length of the front fold over.
