Ottoman Greek (later Russian) scholar Athanasios Papadopoulos-Kerameus (1856–1912) edited John Lazaropoulos's late 14th-century Synopsis of the life and miracles of St. Eugenios of Trabizond, which includes his presence at the 1224 siege of Trabizond.
