London : The Amalgamated Press, Ltd, 1931. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. First edition first printing. Pulp paperback book is clean with a straight toned spine. Wrapper is clean with a light crease or two, there is a loss with rust marks at the staple. Front cover has bold true colours. Rear cover is clean and not grubby with some edge toning and again small loss at staple. The book is firmly bound the staple is rusty, and first page is a little affected by this. The text block is clean, with minimal toning to edges. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A solid copy of this The Boys' Friend Library title published in 1931. This series was issued four books per month, and mostly reprinted stories from other publications, only ceasing during WWII due to restricted paper supplies. This story is by Leslie Beresford, and orignally appeared in The Gem. An uncommon item.
