About This Item
London, United Kingdom: Michael Joseph, 1966. Bound in the publishers red cloth boards with gilt title lettering to spine. This is the first impression of the first edition of this excellent Dick Francis thriller. Inoffensive bookplate to front endpaper otherwise all pages are present and correct with no inscriptions. Book sits solid and square with all corners sharp. Gilt title lettering to spine remains sharp and definite. A very nice copy. Housed in the colouful Michael Dempsey wraparound dustwrapper with publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Somewhat rubbed to the extremities as is rather common with this dustwrapper but no tears or chips. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. A very presentable example of an excellent thriller from the evergreen and prolific Dick Francis. Becoming rather scarce.. First Edition. Very Good +/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. FIRST EDITION.
Synopsis
