A cocky rookie flyer joins the famous Hellcats Squadron, where a series of miscommunications and mistakes lead to problems with his fellow Navy pilots. The first Hollywood film glorifying the US military to be released after the outbreak of WWII, as a means of increasing public support of American defense preparations.
