Chicago: The University of Chicago Press, 1975. Hardcover. xi, 177p., substantial illustration reproduced b&w only in a running text, with a color frontispiece. Hardbound in 11.5x8.5 tan cloth boards and pleasant dust jacket; book itself is a paragon of cleanly soundness, while the jacket bears a couple short tears near the head rim but is else excellent. Turns out the first stand-alone engraved map plate in Europe, enabling multiple cheap copies to sell to common folk, was just twenty years later than moveable type.
