Phillips (repeated on jacket). Page edges yellowed, spine lightly darkened, else fine. Cream price-clipped jacket has small corner chips to ends of bit darkened spine; VG otherwise. Inscribed by the author "To the Harvie Clarks (with happy memories of a first introduction to a Scottish winter) from H.G.G. Herklots, December 1943". Canon Herklots, once editor of the Granta at Cambridge, describes his first Canadian winter in Winnipeg to English readers. Peel (3) 5882.. Inscribed by Author. First printing. Hardcover. Octavo.
