Very good plus in grey boards with light rubbing to extremities; clear archival tape repair to inside edge of first two pages, otherwise clean and tight. Bookplate on front pastedown of Charles Lemuel Nichols, who wrote bibliographies and books on prinitng in the early 1900s. Not only was the the first hardcover book published by Stone & Kimball, it was also the first published bibliography of first editions of only American authors and is significant thus.
