New York, NY: Munn and Company, 1916. First edition. Hardcover in full green cloth. Very good. Octavo (standard size). Slight wear to edges and corners of boards. No dust jacket. Corners and spine a bit bumped. Gilt palm print in cover. Stamped "Russell D. Holmes / 1st Lt. 54th Inf. / Asst. Rct. Officer" on front and rear endpapers and at the top of a few pages. x, 155 p. w/ b&w illus., tables, index, and full set of 11 finger print cards in rear cloth pocket. A great instructional book with interesting illustrations of various offices, by an experienced sergeant in the City of New York Police Department. This copy was evidently used by the US Army, possibly for screening recruits or for later identification.
