About This Item

NY: Putnam, 1964. Book shows some yellowing to extremes, but overall a beautiful copy of the first edition of this, the author's first book and basis for the 1966 Irvin Kershner's film of the same name that starred Sean Connery, Joanne Woodward and Jean Seburg. Laid in is a humorous (TLS) note to his editor, Harvey Greenberg, stating a reason for not stopping by when he visited NY (he was with "a broad"). . Signed Note. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine.
