The binding is bumped with the overlapping edges of the covers creased. The spine,and the adjacent & top edges of the wraps are faded. [viii] & 55 pages. 8 full-page illustrations in black & white. The contents are very good.

Limited edition of 1,000 copies.

Harley H. Bartlett was professor of Botany at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and director of the university's Botanical Gardens, a past president of the Botanical Society of America and a collector of rare botanical books.
