New York: Knopf, 1988. SIGNED by the author on the half title. A novel of a family falling apart because of an enormously difficult child, played out against the background of a society unable to deal with its own brutal side. Very good+ (faint foxing, mostly on rough-cut side page edges, otherwise fine) in fine dust jacket.. Signed by Author. 1st American edition. Hard Cover.
