Double page photographic title page. Throughout the text there are black and white photographs and illustrations. Illustrated endpapers with map of the Yarra River showing various landings and tea gardens at which the various ferries stopped. Brown coloured boards with white writing on spine. Photographic dustwrapper, showing Hawthorn Tea Gardens circa 1926, brown & white writing on front panel and yellow on spine. The first ferry sailed up the Yarra River in 1854 and since that time there have been ferries plying their trade till this day. This book recounts some of those ferries and tales attached.
