Two vols., 12mos; vi, [10], 271; [ii], 322pp; contemporary calf. The second edition, revised and corrected, of Lennox's popular satire. Although issued anonymously, her authorship was an open secret and widely recognized. Lennox's mentor Samuel Johnson is believed to have written the dedication as well as the penultimate chapter.
