Vol. I: xxiv, 379pp; Vol. II: 391pp. Each volume has a colour frontispiece and a colour vignette to the title page (no tissue guards). Volume I has 8 further full colour plates (all with tissue guards) and 7 black & white illustrations. Volume II has 9 full colour plates (all with tissue guards) and 5 black & white illustrations. The colour plates are hand coloured and most show 2 or 3 different birds. The list of plates for both volumes appears in Volume I and all listed plates are present. Both volumes are in very good condition. The modern half red morocco is very attractive and is finished with gilt tooling to the spines which have six compartments. Both volumes also have new endpapers. Internally, the text blocks are clean and bright and the colour plates vibrant. A very nice set.
