Description

New York: Simon & Schuster, 1964. This Stated First Printing (and unless it's stated, it's not) is in Very Good+ condition with a Very Good- price-clipped dust jacket. I've placed the dust jacket into an archival Brodart protective sleeve. Considering the breaches of civil liberties in our own era, this incredible story of one's man fight to reclaim his good name and reputation is as powerful today and when the events first occurred. It deals with John Henry Faulk, a popular radio and television personality of the 1950s who was blacklisted and decided to fight back against the lies, half-truths and innuendos that culminated in a history-making trial. The book is bound in a denim blue cloth cover with titles on the front panel and spine. The cloth has some fading at the edges. The binding is tight and secure. The text pages are clean and white throughout, with no stains, tears, or other marks. The dust jacket has some small chips and closed tears, repaired on the reverse. The book measures 5 3/4 by 8 1/2 inches and includes 398 pages.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good+/Very Good-. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
