This copy extra-illustrated, with numerous additional engravings, original drawings and watercolors, etc. bound in, many plates with pencilled captions, other pencil notes related to content throughout, rebacked likely mid 19th century with Extra Illustrated added to the spine labelling. Full paneled calf leather covers decorated in blind, rebacked sympathetically with similar colored leather, raised spine bands, dual spine labels, extensive gilt decoration to spine. Some expected cover wear, mainly to the corners, front hinge secure but with some minor separated areas at the endpapers, text block sound, pages mainly clean with some occasional finger soil or darkening from the glue used to mount some of the extra illustrations, far top edges of the first few leaves darkened, very faded names neatly written on half-title: William & Hannah Davis, James & Eliza Albright; William & Priscilla Faint [or Farmer]; Henry & Ellen Priscilla Tucker, Priscilla Tucker..
