Presentation volume given to then university president Deane Waldo Malott; Red, polished, Moroccan leather, with gilt stamp lettering and embossed university seal on top cover; Flat signed by president Harry Truman on title page; Short inscription by the president on blank front free end page that reads in full "Have a great day for me! / Harry Truman."; Also on blank front free end page is a presentation inscription to university President Mallott, with individual signatures of all four members of the Executive Board of Student Government (Sam W. Buchanan; Alan D. Jacobs; Jonathan R. Steinkey (?); Richard S. Ewing); Following title page are 22 leaves of stiff, heavy gage, paper, with 50 photographs affixed; Volume remains in Very Good condition, showing a little rubbing of leather at foot of spine and just a little spine lean; Corners are very lightly bumped, and there are a vew very light scuffs in leather covers; The book plate of Cornell University President Dean Waldo Malott (the recipient of this gift) is affixed to the front paste down; Very minimally ex-library, with note of receiving the book, and a small library number, all neatly inked along the binding edge of the title page. There are no other library markings; These photographs are believed to be previously unpublished; Sold with complete provenance.
